Image via hipstersisters via Pinterest. [Updated- Thanks to Ray I discovered tineye.com which helps you find images. So I now know this is a photoshott of Abbey Lee Kershaw in the July 2010 issue of Vogue Nippon, and the photographer is Angelo Pennetta ]
He’s back today.
I filled my evenings, and even one pre-work morning, with dinners out, dinners cooked by others, drinks in, ridiculously good coffee, writing and sewing school. It was good. I think its good for couples to be apart sometimes. But I missed him. I did. The house feels improbably enormous and eerily quiet last thing at night. I’m pretty sure the dishwasher missed his stellar stacking skills. And the poor plants are desperate for his return. And I think the TV will breathe a sigh of relief at being used by someone who knows what to do with it too. (I did not accidentally delete recorded programmes. Nope. Not me)
Even though its he that's been away it feels like I'm coming home. Cheesy as hell, huh. So this weekend = home sweet home.
Image originally from Cafe Mode via Pinterest. (Tineye didnt know the original source- Poss sartorialist?)

The Images? Beauties from my Pinterest board. To fuel my 70's chic passion. Do you like this 70's thing? I always have.
In all cases above I tried unsuccessfully to either find the original post or photographer, but couldn't, apart from the last image. If you know please enlighten me below. I'm trying to follow good blogger etiquette! Update- see under first image above.

try tinyeye.com (it does reverse image searches - so can sometimes find the source for you)
ReplyDeleteGlad my stinky brother is home! x
sorry the link is tineye.com (i'm a donut!)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely good for couples to spend time apart sometimes, definitely better when they are back together at the end of it :)
ReplyDeleteM got back on Tuesday, at rather short notice, so adjusting to having him around, but it is very, very nice.
Ray- thanks so much- Ive updated my post. It helped me find the source of the first image, but not the other two. I tried though!
ReplyDeleteBecky- Wow- so pleased he's ok- and that he's back, safe, with you. You must have been so worried. SO happy though that you're now together, even if it is a result of such a horrid chain of events.
Love your pic picks :)
ReplyDeleteI think Cafe Mode is the original source for your second pic, as that's what Natalie (the blogger pictured) had in her post http://www.cannedfashion.com/2010/10/fashion-week-narcissism-and-lots-of-it.html
Ahh, thats lovely - enjoy your weekend together.
ReplyDeletePinterest is seriously addictive, I once lost a whole evening on there!
Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteoooo loving these images! Yes most definitely have a thing for the 70's vibe. Must have been my years hippying it out travelling around the place. As for time apart... better to be loved and missed, than to be never loved at all! Does that make sense..I'm talking garbage! x
