About

Hello and welcome to my personal blog. I am a South East Londoner, freelance writer, new mama, blogger, photographer and adventurer. I spend my time writing, making stuff, collecting old junk and gadding about in London. I am a lover of old stuff, vegetables, jam jars, charity shops, taking stairs two at a time and finding any excuse to celebrate. Any.

Originally from the wilds of the North, I ended up studying in the wilds of South East London and never left. Here I live with my mister, our offspring, an impressive collection of dusty junk and some weak willed house plants. Marrying my mister 7 years ago was the best decision I ever made (puke. Sorry)

I dream of one day moving  to the country to live the good life. Until then, I enjoy the best of both worlds; playing ‘country living’ in our flat and reveling in all the gastronomic, retail and cultural delights that London has to offer too. I write about my travels with my baby around London and beyond.

The blog is a journal about trying to find ways to be arty in a 9-5 office life, trying to be less wasteful and more self sufficient, my love of ethical style, and making and doing lovely things on a shoestring.

Thanks for visiting my virtual hood!

Peace out
x

P.S Seeds & Stitches was the name given to this blog when I thought it would be nothing more than a record of my attempts at sewing and growing vegetables. Since its humble beginnings, this blog has grown into much more than a gardening calendar (thankfully) but the name stuck.
